Job summary

The role requires current Indiana Pharmacy Technician license, strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills; five years of community pharmacy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Indiana Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred, but not required.
• Five years of community pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and answer questions.
• Receives prescriptions and check their validity.
• Processes prescriptions electronically and ensure data is complete and accurate.
• Resolves issues when they arise (e.g. rejected insurance claims).
• Selects the appropriate medicine and measures dosages to fill prescriptions.
• Identify ways to increase medication adherence (e.g. 90‑day supplies, synchronization).
• Sorts, stocks, labels medication and monitors inventory.
• Manages inventory and OTC items and placement.
• Uses EHR appropriately and performs administrative tasks as assigned.
• Complies with security measures, quality standards and laws.
