Job summary

HealthLinc is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to provide pharmaceutical services to patients and support the Patient-Centered Medical Home model. You will enter orders, fill prescriptions, and deliver outstanding customer service while collaborating with pharmacy staff and reporting to the Pharmacy Manager.

Responsibilities include processing prescriptions, ensuring accuracy, resolving insurance issues, and promoting medication adherence.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current Indiana Pharmacy Technician license.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred, but not required.
  • At least five years of community pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greets customers and answer questions.
  • Receives prescriptions and check their validity.
  • Processes prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is complete and accurate.
  • Resolves issues when they arise (e.g. rejected insurance claims).
  • Selects the appropriate medicine and measure dosages to fill prescriptions.
  • Identifies ways to increase medication adherence for patients (e.g. 90-day supplies, medication synchronization).
  • Sorts, stocks, labels medication and monitor inventory.
  • Manages inventory appropriately (e.g. order medications and supplies).
  • Manages OTC inventory and product placement.
  • Uses EHR appropriately and as needed.
  • Undertakes administrative tasks (e.g. record-keeping) as assigned.
  • Complies with all security measures and quality standards.
  • Complies with all state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Maintains compliance standards in accordance with the Compliance policies and the Code-of-Conduct.
  • Reports compliance problems appropriately.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
