HealthLinc in Elkhart, IN is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to provide pharmaceutical services, enter orders, fill prescriptions, and assist patients within a Patient-Centered Medical Home framework. You will work with the pharmacy team and report to the Pharmacy Manager to ensure accurate dispensing and high-quality customer care.

The role requires a High School diploma and Indiana Pharmacy Technician license; CPT preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current Indiana Pharmacy Technician license.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred, but not required.
  • At least five years of community pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Greets customers and answers questions.
  • Receives prescriptions and checks validity.
  • Processes prescriptions electronically with complete information.
  • Resolves issues such as rejected insurance claims.
  • Selects medicines and measures dosages for fillings.
  • Maintains inventory and stocks medications.
  • Uses EHR system appropriately.
  • Performs administrative record-keeping tasks.
  • Ensures compliance with security and quality standards.

As a Pharmacy Technician you will provide pharmaceutical services to patients to improve drug prescription usage and therapeutic outcomes and enhance the Patient Centered Medical Home model. This position will facilitate medication distribution by entering orders, filling prescriptions, and providing customer service. In this role you will work with the patients and other pharmacy staff and you will report to the Pharmacy Manager.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Greets customers and answer questions.
  • Receives prescriptions and check their validity.
  • Processes prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is complete and accurate.
  • Resolves issues when they arise (e.g. rejected insurance claims).
  • Selects the appropriate medicine and measure dosages to fill prescriptions.
  • Identifies ways to increase medication adherence for patients (e.g. 90-day supplies, medication synchronization).
  • Sorts, stocks, labels medication and monitor inventory.
  • Manages inventory appropriately (e.g. order medications and supplies).
  • Manages OTC inventory and product placement.
  • Uses EHR appropriately and as needed.
  • Undertakes administrative tasks (e.g. record-keeping) as assigned.
  • Complies with all security measures and quality standards.
  • Complies with all state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Maintains compliance standards in accordance with the Compliance policies and the Code-of-Conduct. Reports compliance problems appropriately.
  • All HealthLinc staff is committed to engage in quality improvement initiatives that align with and support Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Training
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current Indiana Pharmacy Technician license
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred, but not required
Experience
  • At least Five (5) years of community pharmacy experience preferred

  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Technology Skills
  • Operate a multi-line phone system and other office equipment including printers, fax machines, etc.
