Job summary

HealthLinc in Elkhart, IN seeks a Pharmacy Technician to provide pharmaceutical services and support the Patient-Centered Medical Home model. You will enter orders, fill prescriptions, and assist customers while reporting to the Pharmacy Manager.

This role requires strong customer service, organization, and communication, with duties including prescription processing, insurance questions, inventory management, and adherence to state and federal laws.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current Indiana Pharmacy Technician license.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Greets customers and answer questions.
  • Receives prescriptions and check their validity.
  • Processes prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is complete and accurate.
  • Resolves issues when they arise (e.g. rejected insurance claims).
  • Selects the appropriate medicine and measure dosages to fill prescriptions.
  • Identifies ways to increase medication adherence for patients (e.g. 90-day supplies, medication synchronization).
  • Sorts, stocks, labels medication and monitor inventory.
  • Manages inventory appropriately (e.g. order medications and supplies).
  • Manages OTC inventory and product placement.
  • Uses EHR appropriately and as needed.
  • Undertakes administrative tasks (e.g. record-keeping) as assigned.
  • Complies with all security measures and quality standards.
  • Complies with all state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Maintains compliance standards in accordance with the Compliance policies and the Code-of-Conduct. Reports compliance problems appropriately.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job DetailsJob Location: Pharmacy HC Simpson - Elkhart, IN 46516 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Day

As a Pharmacy Technician you will provide pharmaceutical services to patients to improve drug prescription usage and therapeutic outcomes and enhance the Patient Centered Medical Home model. This position will facilitate medication distribution by entering orders, filling prescriptions, and providing customer service. In this role you will work with the patients and other pharmacy staff and you will report to the Pharmacy Manager.

QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Training
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current Indiana Pharmacy Technician license
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred, but not required
Experience
  • At least Five (5) years of community pharmacy experience preferred
Skills/Job Requirement
  • Customer service skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Technology Skills
  • Operate a multi-line phone system and other office equipment including printers, fax machines, etc.
  • Basic software skills (Microsoft Office, EHR, online sources, etc.)
