Job summary

Hot Springs Health Program, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to accurately enter, fill, and refill prescriptions per provider orders while maintaining inventory and processing invoices for pharmacist checks.

You will balance daily transactions, manage the POS, and ensure clean records and compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, USP guidelines. Preferred candidates hold Pharmacy Technician Certification with certification after one year, plus a GED or high school diploma; NC driver’s license is

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred; certification testing costs may be covered by employer.
• Certification required after one year of employment.
• GED or high school diploma required.
• Valid NC Driver’s License and dependable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Abide by and work within the guidelines of the NC Board of Pharmacy.
• Accurately enter, fill, and refill prescriptions per provider orders and organize meds for pharmacist checks.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory by stocking, ordering, verifying receipts, invoicing, and removing outdated meds.
• Work with clinical assistants to order and maintain lab stock.
• Balance daily pharmacy transactions and controlled substances.
• Manage point-of-sale to charge meds and complete prescription cycles.
• Maintain a clean, stocked pharmacy and accurate records per daily/monthly checklists.
• Assist with prior authorizations.
• Attend required staff trainings and meetings.
• Collaborate with HSHP medication assistance specialist to improve patient access to medications.
• Follow OSHA, HIPAA, USP and all safety, federal, state, local regulations.
