Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Excellent communication and customer service skills essential.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment is critical.
Desire to help others and enhance patient care is important.
Preferred: CPhT certification or willingness to obtain it within a timeframe.
Knowledge of pharmacy operations and prescription processing is key.
Experience in community pharmacy preferred.
Knowledge of 340B regulations is beneficial.
Familiarity with EHR and pharmacy management systems is advantageous.
Bilingual skills are a plus.
Responsibilities
Assist pharmacists with prescription processing and dispensing.
Prepare medications for dispensing, including labeling and packaging.
Perform accuracy checks before pharmacist verification.
Greet and assist patients with inquiries and prescription pickups.
Educate patients on medication adherence and financial assistance.
Manage inventory and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations.
Process insurance claims and maintain patient records.
