Job summary

Providence Milwaukie Hospital in Milwaukie, Oregon is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II for a part-time, variable shift. You will fill and dispense unit dose and stock medications, handle oral and IV orders, and support the ADS to ensure safe, timely delivery to nursing units.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year (≈2080 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and current PTCB certification OR 2 years (≈4160 hours) hospital pharmacy if not PTCB certified.

Part-Time/Variable Shift

The Acute Care Pharmacy Tech II performs duties relating to filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt accurate manner. Fill/dispense oral and IV medications, triage patient orders and maintain the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS).

Required Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED.
• Upon hire: Oregon Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician or
• Upon hire: Oregon Pharmacy Technician License.
• Minimum of one year (> 2080 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and current PTCB certification - OR - 2 years (> 4160 hours) hospital pharmacy if not PTCB certified.

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program.
• Specialty certification (e.g. ACPE approved sterile compounding certification) where applicable for role.
• Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR).

Pay Range

$23.81 - $36.44 (base pay; may include shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities).
