Job summary

Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, Oregon is seeking an Associate Pharmacy Technician for a Full-Time/Variable Shift. The role involves filling and dispensing unit-dose and stock medications from the central pharmacy to nursing units and other departments, including oral and IV meds, while triaging orders and maintaining the automated dispensing system.

The Acute Care Pharmacy Tech I performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt accurate manner. Fill/dispense oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system.

Required Qualifications:
  • H.S. Diploma or GED.
  • Upon hire: Oregon Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician or
  • Upon hire: Oregon Pharmacy Technician License.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Inpatient experience.
  • Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR).

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay Range: $22.44 - $34.33
