Job summary

Providence Milwaukie Hospital in Milwaukie, Oregon, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II for part-time/variable shift work. You will fill and dispense unit dose and stock medications to nursing units and other departments, triaging orders and maintaining the ADS to ensure accuracy.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, Oregon tech license/certification, and 1 year of hospital/system experience with PTCB or 2 years if not certified.

Required Qualifications
  • H.S. Diploma or GED.
  • Upon hire: Oregon Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician or
  • Upon hire: Oregon Pharmacy Technician License.
  • Minimum of one year (> 2080 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and current PTCB certification - OR - 2 years (>4160 hours) hospital pharmacy if not PTCB certified.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Coursework/Training: Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program.
  • Specialty certification (e.g. ACPE approved sterile compounding certification) where applicable for role.
  • Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR).
