CenterWell Pharmacy is seeking a Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 2 to handle moderately complex tasks supporting specialty medications. You will collaborate with provider offices to troubleshoot and complete prior authorization requests and ensure timely processing for members.

You must hold an active Pharmacy Tech Certification with the Board of Pharmacy for your state, have pharmacy technician or call center experience, and be proficient with multiple computer applications.

The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/technical/operational/customer support assignments. Works closely with providers offices to troubleshoot and complete medication prior authorization requests for specialty medications. The Specialty Operations Prior Authorization Technician works with Provider's offices to complete Prior Authorization requests for our members using various programs. Decisions are typically focused on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction. Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.

• Must have an active Pharmacy Tech Certification with Board of Pharmacy for state of residence
• Experience as a Pharmacy Technician OR call center experience in a pharmacy or related call center setting
• Experience using multiple computer applications simultaneously
• Mail Order Pharmacy or Specialty Pharmacy experience
• Experience submitting and/or reading pharmacy claims

Position Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (with an option of a later shift if needed)

Overtime: When there is a business need, overtime will be requested. Holidays: When there is a business need to work on a holiday outside of Thanksgiving day and Christmas Day, there is the possibility of working on a holiday.

Work at Home Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
