Job summary

PharmcareUSA in Addison, TX is seeking an overnight Pharmacy Technician to join our LTC-focused team. The position features a 7 on–7 off rotating schedule and requires PT certification in the applicable state; full-time availability including weekends is essential.

Responsibilities include assisting the pharmacist with input, filling and dispensing prescriptions, IV compounding, inventory management, interacting with patients and facility staff, and maintaining licensure per regulations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist Pharmacist with input, filling and dispensing prescriptions.
• Perform IV compounding and medication preparation with accuracy.
• Fill prescriptions following regulatory requirements.
• Answer calls and route questions to Pharmacist as needed.
• Prepare medications for delivery to facilities per schedule.
• Assist walk‑in customers and direct to appropriate department.
• Assist with medication ordering and inventory management.
• Maintain and renew Pharmacy Technician license/certification.
• Support corporate initiatives and use provided tools/resources.
• Other duties as assigned.

PharmcareUSA is seeking an overnight Pharmacy Technician!!

This position is specifically for the overnight schedule, with a 7 on - 7 off, rotating schedule.

Candidate must be certified as a pharmacy technician in the state in which they will be working, and available to work Full Time, including weekends.

Essential Functions:

• Assist Pharmacist with input (when appropriate), filling and dispensing of all prescriptions
• Perform all filling and / or IV compounding of prescriptions with accuracy and reasonable speed
• Fill prescriptions per rules and regulations of all regulatory entities
• Answer telephone calls, assist caller when appropriate, or enlist Pharmacist to assist if appropriate
• Prepare medications to be delivered to facility per delivery schedule
• Assist any walk‑in customers or direct to appropriate department
• Assist with ordering of medications from wholesaler along with proper inventory management
• Assist with Medication Returns and E‑Kit management
• Maintain Pharmacy Technician License/Certification
• Will comply with all Corporate Initiatives and utilize provided tools/resources as appropriate
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
• Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment such as calculators, copy machines and printers up to 100% of the time;
• Regularly required to talk and hear in order to communicate effectively over the phone and in person;
• Must be able to see 100% of the time to recognize medications, detect inaccuracies, and observe the work of others with or without correction;
• This position is very active and requires standing for long periods, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching and stooping;
• Must be able to lift and/or transport materials weighing up to 25 pounds, up to 10% of the time;
• Must be able to tolerate normal office/pharmacy environment and exposure to various medications
