Job summary

Shields Health Solutions is hiring a Pharmacy Technician - Outreach Eligibility Specialist to support the growth of the specialty pharmacy program by identifying eligible patients, completing benefits investigations, and maintaining strict confidentiality.

You will conduct benefits investigations, review records, document findings, and collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality patient care while upholding privacy and compliance.

Qualifications

• State-registered Louisiana Pharmacy Technician; CPhT preferred.
• 1+ year experience as a pharmacy technician; HS diploma or GED.
• Strong communication, organization and tech skills; team mindset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct benefits investigations using approved tools and pharmacy systems.
• Review medical records to confirm current medication needs.
• Document findings clearly and accurately.
• Partner with team to ensure high-quality, coordinated patient care.
• Identify trends, solve problems and contribute to process improvements.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality and ongoing job knowledge.
• Perform other duties as needed.
