PharMerica in Honolulu, HI seeks a Pharmacy Order Entry Technician to enter and verify medication orders with precision, perform dose calculations, and assist with pharmacy tasks under pharmacist supervision.

Join a closed‑door, non‑retail team delivering care to long‑term care and senior living communities. PTCB certification can be pursued with provided coaching; Hawaii license is required to start.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required, pharmacy terminology knowledge helpful.
• State licensure as a Pharmacy Technician required where applicable.
• PTCB certification not required at hire but eligible with coaching provided.

Responsibilities

• Enter and verify medication orders with high accuracy.
• Perform basic drug calculations and dosage conversions.
• Investigate and resolve pharmacy claim denials; follow up in POS systems.
• Stay current with Medicaid claim regulations and ensure compliant processing.
• Track unpaid or delayed claims and generate reports for management.
• Provide excellent customer service in line with company values.
• Assist with medication preparation and dispensing under pharmacist supervision.
• Support additional pharmacy tasks and operations as directed by management.

Requirements

• Hawaii Pharmacy Technician/Trainee License – REQUIRED

As a Pharmacy Order Entry Technician you will:

• Enter and verify medication orders in a computerized system with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
• Conduct basic drug calculations, including dosage and conversion tasks.
• Investigate and resolve pharmacy claim denials; perform follow-up actions in POS systems.

• Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.
• Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication.

Desired:

• Long Term Care pharmacy experience.

Salary Range

USD $19.00 - $22.00 / Year
