Horizon LTC in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to join our on-site team. You will assist the pharmacist in accurately filling patient orders, measuring and labeling medications, and preparing unit-dose packaging.

Qualifications

• Michigan pharmacy technician license or eligibility for the program.
• Medical terminology knowledge.
• Ability to comply with company policies, patient protocols, governmental regulations, and the code of conduct.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Strong English communication and collaboration skills.
• Basic computer proficiency with an ability to use pharmacy software and general office equipment.
• Attention to detail, mathematical skills, and thoroughness.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Accurately fulfill patients' orders and prepare medications with the pharmacist.
• Measure, count, label and document medicines and dosages.
• Package medicines and label items; verify expiration dates.
• Place orders and organize bags, labels, and quantities.
• Assist the pharmacy team with additional duties as needed.
