***This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located onsite in either the southeast, southwest, or central United States. Travel will likely be required.***
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Document care delivered and follow-up care required by all Healthcare Providers (HCPs).
- Participate in meetings and task forces to improve quality, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and stay updated on new developments, policies, and efforts.
- Assist with managing daily activities and prioritizing tasks.
- Use a computer to access email, electronic calendars, and office software.
- Follow all applicable standards and guidelines of Acuity.
- Maintain patient dignity and adhere to the American Hospital Association's Bill of Rights.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Dispense prescription drugs and healthcare products, and perform pharmacy-related functions.
- Support the development of extended clinical pharmacy roles and ensure the security of pharmaceuticals and inventory control.
Qualifications:
- Completed a formal Pharmacy Technician training program leading to a diploma, certificate, or associate’s degree.
- At least two years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Participate in training, including HIPAA.
- Maintain current CPR certification.
- Recent clinical experience in patient care for at least 6 months in the past year.
- US citizenship or permanent residency in the US for at least 3 of the past 5 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current adjudicated Department of Homeland Security clearance.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:
- Work primarily in an office environment.
- Sitting and standing for prolonged periods.
