Job summary

Methodist Hospital in Minnesota is seeking a Non-Certified Pharmacy Tech to join our team and support safe dispensing under pharmacist supervision.

Under direct supervision, you will assist in the timely and accurate dispensing of medications, use Epic and Microsoft Office, and provide excellent customer service to patients and families. A Minnesota Pharmacy Technician registration is required.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Proficient computer skills including Epic and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the timely and accurate dispensing of non-sterile medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Operate under state and federal guidelines to ensure patient safety.

Position Summary

Under direct supervision of a Pharmacist, assists in the timely and accurate dispensing of non-sterile hazardous and non-hazardous medications to patients in accordance with state and federal guidelines.

Work Schedule

Day/Evening rotating shifts, including every other weekend.

Required Qualifications

• Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
  • Must be registered with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Basic computer skills required including use of Epic and Microsoft Office products (e-mail, internet, Word, Excel).
• Math aptitude is required. Ability to mathematically compute and convert drug concentrations and doses.
• Ability to type.
