Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support the Genoa mental health pharmacy. Primary duties include dispensing prescriptions and clerical tasks under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, with schedule Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:00pm in Blacksburg, VA.

Qualifications include Virginia license and reliable transportation; preferred are national certification and data-entry experience.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted license in Virginia.
• Reliable transportation with a valid US driver's license.
• Ability to use personal vehicle for deliveries when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic.
• FIlls prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision.
• Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and ensure compliance.
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department.
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Other duties as assigned.
