Job summary

Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles invites applications for a part-time Pharmacy Technician (Med History). You will work with hospital systems, prepare medications, and support medication history processes on the North Olympic Peninsula.

Responsibilities include receiving prescription requests, compounding, IVs, computer order entry, billing, stock control, and staff training support. Washington State Pharmacy Technician license and training required; national certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Washington State Board of Pharmacy approved Pharmacy Technician training program.

Responsibilities

• Receives and fills prescription requests from physicians and other qualified prescribers.
• Prepares/ compounds medications, IVs and other pharmaceutical supplies based on OMC protocols/procedures.
• Performs computer order entry/billing.
• Delivers supplies.
• Prepackages medications.
• Maintains records.
• Assists with training new staff.
• Performs drug stock control and other related duties.
