Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Coordinator to lead a team of 12-15 staff, coordinating workflow and training. This role spends 50% of time on workflow and requires 4+ years of pharmacy experience with a valid technician certification (PTCB or NHA).

A hybrid schedule is available after training, with Monday–Friday day shifts. The coordinator will supervise scheduling, assist pharmacists in medication preparation and distribution, and drive quality

Qualifications

• 4 years of pharmacy experience is required.
• Pharmacy Technician certification through PTCB or NHA is required to be considered.
• Formal or informal leadership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and distribution of medications.
• Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control.
• Operates computer systems and utilizes technology.
• Works collaboratively with pharmacy management to effect positive change in the workplace.
• Develops, implements and maintains new programs and protocols.
• Oversees and reviews quality assurance data and takes corrective action for variances.
• Performs any job duty of a Pharmacy Technician Specialist.
