Job summary

Accredo Specialty Pharmacy, a division of Evernorth Health Services, part of The Cigna Group, is seeking a Lead Pharmacy Technician to guide order fulfillment and workflow in the Indiana pharmacy. You’ll oversee workload distribution, training, and inventory management to ensure accuracy and timely processing.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, potential shift differential, and opportunities for Lean/Continuous Improvement participation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Leadership experience of 6+ months preferred.
• Strong math, typing, and computer skills are needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication required.
• Flexible schedule to support peak volumes and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead workflow distribution and monitor daily pharmacy workload.
• Assist in Lean and Continuous Improvement efforts in the dept.
• Train new hires and identify retraining needs for tenured staff.
• Manage inventory processes including cycle counts and new drug additions.
• Other duties as assigned in the department.

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday - 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM EST

This position may be eligible for a shift differential.

What you’ll do:

You will be responsible for using advanced knowledge of the job to advise pharmacy techs on order fulfillment and related activities. As a Lead Pharmacy Technician on our teamyou will be responsible for the distribution of workload and monitoring of workflow for members to ensure assigned work is completed timely and accurately.

• Assist in coordinating and monitoring daily workflow in the pharmacy. Step in to assist lead technicians.
• Participate in Lean and Continuous Improvement efforts internal and external to the department. Supports staffing of pharmacy tech functions
• Supports and trains new employees, and identifies ongoing training needs of tenured employees that require retraining.
• Understand and help manage inventory processes (cycle count, new drug additions, reverse distribution)
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED
• Pharmacy technician license in the state of Indiana
• 6+ Months of Leadership Experience
• Basic math and computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate peak volume times

Physical Requirements:

• Sit and/or stand for lengthy periods.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and 20 lbs. frequently
• Perform repetitive motion with fingers, hands, and arms.
• Work may be in confined areas close to machinery.
• Work may be performed in an environment with varying levels of noise.
