Pima Medical Institute is seeking a knowledgeable Pharmacy Technician Lead Instructor for our Denver Campus. The role combines hands-on classroom teaching with program leadership and mentorship, supporting students toward successful careers.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of professional pharmacy experience, valid CO certification or license, and strong MS Office/Google Workspace skills. Morning shifts and on-site work are required.

Qualifikationen

  • Associate degree from a USDE or CHEA-accredited institution.
  • Graduate of an ASHP/ACPE-accredited Pharmacy Technician program or equivalent.
  • Current national Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) or Pharmacist license in good standing (CO).
  • Current membership in at least one national and one state pharmacy organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional pharmacy experience as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist.
  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in pharmacy or allied health preferred.

Location: Pima Medical Institute - Denver Campus | On-Site
Position Type: Part-Time (25 Hours/Week) | Morning Shift
Compensation: $28.19 - $35.23 per hour
Reports To: Assistant Dean of Faculty

Pima Medical Institute is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Pharmacy Technician Lead Instructor to guide the next generation of healthcare professionals at our Denver campus. In this role, you will combine hands‑on classroom teaching with program leadership and mentorship - making a meaningful difference in students' careers while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging lesson plans that appeal to diverse learning styles and meet all clinical and curriculum objectives.
  • Oversee curriculum implementation, lab standards, and instructional quality.
  • Facilitate Advisory Board Meetings and lead programmatic faculty meetings to ensure high standards for student outcomes.
  • Review textbooks and course materials; assist with the orientation and mentoring of new faculty members.
  • Coordinate externship site visits and support student placement in collaboration with Career Services.
  • Track graduate certification pass rates and participate in annual Program Effectiveness Plans.
  • Manage supply inventory and contribute to accreditation documentation and preparation.
  • Evaluate and provide feedback on student coursework within 72 hours.
  • Monitor student attendance, academic progress, and success rates; maintain an 80% student success rate for all classes taught.
  • Maintain accurate student grades and records per established policies.
  • Enforce safety and security standards for students, staff, and visitors.
  • Associate degree from an institution accredited by the USDE or CHEA.
  • Graduate of an ASHP/ACPE‑accredited Pharmacy Technician program or equivalent accredited specialty program.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional pharmacy experience as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist.
  • Current national Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) or Pharmacist license in good standing as required by Colorado state law.
  • Current membership in at least one national and one state pharmacy organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
  • Minimum 3 years of prior teaching experience in pharmacy or allied health preferred.
