Job summary

Pima Medical Institute in Colorado Springs is seeking a part-time Lead Instructor for the Pharmacy Technician program. The role blends classroom teaching, program leadership, faculty support, and externship coordination to ensure a high-quality, industry-aligned education.

You will oversee curriculum implementation, support accreditation efforts, mentor faculty, and engage with the local pharmacy community. A 25-hour weekly schedule with morning hours is provided.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited institution.
• ASHP/ACPE-accredited pharmacy technician program or USDE/CHEA-recognized equivalent.
• Five years of pharmacy experience as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist.
• Active membership in at least one national and one state pharmacy organization.
• Licensed Pharmacist or nationally certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) in good standing per Colorado law.

Responsibilities

• Lead curriculum implementation and ensure instructional integrity.
• Coordinate externships and supervise externship students.
• Support accreditation documentation and program effectiveness planning.
• Mentor faculty and assist with onboarding.
• Facilitate advisory board activities and campus engagement.
