Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support IV admixture preparation, Pyxis and WORX system operations, and accurate medication distribution across departments.

The role requires CPhT certification or progression toward it, NJ license within six months, and a valid driver’s license for delivery duties. Expect routine stock management and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Current pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) or acquire within 12 months.
• NJ Board of Pharmacy registration or acquire within 6 months.
• A valid driver's license is required for technicians who drive.

Responsibilities

• Completes IV sterile technique modules and maintains competency.
• Operates Pyxis/WORX systems and fills medication lists.
• Label, deliver and verify medications for patients and rooms.
• Conducts monthly nursing station inspections and stocks management.
• Process employee prescriptions and paperwork; transport materials securely.
• Prepare WORX jobs, production lists, and profiles as needed.
• Handle controlled substances per laws and maintain required paperwork.
• Assist in ordering medications and manage stock, including refrigeration where required.
• Ensure proper stock levels and expiry management across departments.
