Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the team in New Jersey. The role involves preparing IV admixtures, using Pyxis 3000 and WORx systems, and handling medication distribution to patients. Candidates must have a high school diploma, CPhT or be able to acquire certification within 12 months, and hold a valid NJ driver’s license if driving is required.

40-hour workweek with a pay range of $20.91–$27.19 per hour. Actual compensation may vary by hours and position status.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalency.
• Experience: Current pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) or acquire CPhT within 12 months of employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for Pharmacy Technicians whose assigned duties include driving and delivering medications and prescriptions to designated Capital Health locations.

Responsibilities

• Completes successfully the IV sterile technique module including workbook, media fill challenge, and calculations test and maintains competency requirement.
• Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with labeling of IV vials, syringes, and compounded IV products including concentration and beyond-use-dating.
• Demonstrates competency in using Pyxis 3000 and WORx systems for filling and labeling.
• Loads new medications into Pyxis and ensures next expiration date is entered for refills.
• Delivers medications to correct patient bins, assists in ordering medications and manages stock to avoid outages.
