Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• No prior experience required – training provided.
• Eligible for Illinois Pharmacy Technician licensure.
• Ability to work on-call and travel between Vista Health sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to pharmacists in daily operations.
• Process and prepare medications for pharmacist review, including prescriptions, carts, and Pyxis restocking.
• Safely and aseptically prepare IV medications (chemotherapy, IVPBs, TPNs).
• Deliver medications promptly to nursing units and departments.
• Maintain and restock floor stock, crash carts, and bulk medications.
• Ensure proper inventory control, including rotating stock and expired meds.
• Assist at the pharmacy counter with phones and order entry.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and Vista Health Standards, focusing on safety and teamwork.
• Perform other duties to support pharmacy operations.
