Job summary

RxPartners is seeking a Full Time Pharmacy Technician, Intermediate to join their team within the UPMC Health System. The role supports sterile and nonsterile medication preparation, packaging, labeling, filling, and distribution to patients in a hospital setting.

Shifts run Monday through Friday from 2:30pm to 11pm, with occasional weekend and holiday assignments. The technician will ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain secure, accurate medication handling and records.

Responsibilities

• Assist in filling medication orders through correct labeling, counting, and stocking practices.
• Assist in preparation of oral and injectable medications, including intravenous admixtures and TPN, for the correct patient.
• Work in sterile products area preparing cytotoxic and hazardous drugs using aseptic technique.
• Distribute medications via medication cassettes, carts, and controlled substances per policy and law.
• Maintain documentation and logs (eye wash, refrigerator, inventory, etc.).
• Operate pharmacy computer systems to process patient information and records.
