Job summary

Onco360 Oncology Pharmacy in Houston, TX is seeking an Intake/Prescription Setup Pharmacy Technician for its specialty pharmacy. The role involves creating patient profiles, processing orders, and managing incoming documents from the fax server, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Starting salary is $22.00 per hour, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for hires by October 31, 2026. It is a full-time position with potential remote work after onsite training, and shifts run 8am–8pm.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and pharmacy tech license/registration as required by state law
• 1+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience required
• Knowledge of medical terminology including sig codes and Roman numerals; brand/generic names
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to input information accurately and efficiently; detail-oriented
• Strong time-management and independent working abilities
• Basic math and analytical skills
• Intermediate typing/keyboard skills

Responsibilities

• Creates patient profiles and processes orders from electronic prescriptions and fax queues
• Requests refill prescriptions as appropriate
• Manages incoming documents from the fax server
• Generates and types prescriptions from orders for pharmacist verification
• Follows up on outbound prescription transfers
• Clarifies patient demographics and clinical information needed to process prescriptions

Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 for employees starting before October 31, 2026.

Shift times between 8am and 8pm.

Starting salary from $22.00 an hour and up.

This will be a Full-Time position, and you may transition to work remote after onsite training is complete.

• Licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law

Education:

• Required: High School Diploma or GED, licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law, Previous Experience in Pharmacy

Experience:

• Required: Pharmacy Technician: 1+ years
• Desired: Pharmacy Technician: 3+ years

Skills/Knowledge:

• Required: Pharmacy or healthcare-related knowledge, knowledge of pharmacy terminology including sig codes, and Roman numerals, brand/generic names of medication, basic math and analytical skills, Intermediate typing/keyboarding skills.
• Desired: Specialty pharmacy experience

License or certification:

• Required:
• Pharmacy Technician State License/Registration (per State Board of Pharmacy)
• Certain States also require National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT via PTCB/NHA)
