Job summary

Onco360 Pharmacy in Scottsdale, AZ is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for Intake/Prescription Setup. This full-time role supports a high-volume oncology pharmacy, creating patient profiles and processing orders from electronic prescriptions and faxes.

You will generate prescriptions, follow up transfers, and verify patient demographics with pharmacist oversight. Starting pay is $24.00 per hour with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for hires before Oct 31, 2026; remote work may be possible after on-site

Qualifications

• Requirements: High School Diploma or GED; licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law; previous experience in pharmacy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
• Good organizational skills, detail-oriented, and ability to work independently to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Creates patient profiles and processes orders from electronic prescriptions and fax queues.
• Generates and types prescriptions from orders for pharmacist verification and follows up on transfers.
• Clarifies patient demographics and clinical information needed to process prescriptions.

Full time hours, Monday to Friday - from:

9:30-6:00 PM MST

Starting salary from $24.00 an hour and up

This will be a Full-Time position, and you may transition to work remote after onsite training is complete.

Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 for employees starting before October 31, 2026.

• Knowledge of medical terminology (including sig codes and Roman numeral), brand and generic names of medications and general pharmacy terminology
• Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently when inputting information
• Licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
• Basic math and analytical skills

Education:

• Required: High School Diploma or GED, licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law, Previous Experience in Pharmacy

Experience:

• Required: Pharmacy Technician: 1+ years
• Desired: Pharmacy Technician: 3+ years

Skills/Knowledge:

• Required: Pharmacy or healthcare-related knowledge, knowledge of pharmacy terminology including sig codes, and Roman numerals, brand/generic names of medication, basic math and analytical skills, Intermediate typing/keyboarding skills.
• Desired: Specialty pharmacy experience

License or certification:

• Pharmacy Technician State License/Registration (per State Board of Pharmacy)
• Certain States also require National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT via PTCB/NHA)
• Required: Independent worker, good interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communications skills, ability to work independently, work efficiently to meet deadlines and be flexible, detail-oriented, great time-management skills
