Job summary

Central New Mexico Community College is seeking a part-time instructor to join the Health, Wellness, and Public Safety department. Instructors will deliver high-quality Pharmacy Technician instruction, assess student learning, and maintain records in accordance with college timelines.

The position supports student success and graduation goals; hours vary by term and enrollment, with flexible scheduling to accommodate students' needs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher is required or actively pursuing with a written plan to complete within 3 years.
• Current National Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or licensed Pharmacist.
• Current NM Board of Pharmacy Registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician or a Pharmacist.
• Current memberships in state and national pharmacy or education associations (proof of membership required).
• Minimum of five years of experience in the practice of pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, teach, grade, and assess student learning in assigned courses.
• Create a quality learning environment for diverse student populations.
• Maintain student records and document incompletes within college timelines.
• Use technology-based programs to access and input student records and processes.
• Assist students with registration, advising, and graduation processes.
• Structure classes and curriculum to align with program outcomes.
• Prepare and use instructional materials and media as appropriate.
• Convene classes as scheduled and respond to student inquiries.
• Offer office hours to assist students outside class hours.
• Attend required in-service sessions and department meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
