Job summary

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA is hiring a Part-Time Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to support dispensing under supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The role features a rotating 12-hour shift and a $2,500 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

You will fill and deliver medications, ensure adequate supplies, and help maintain QA and compliance. A Virginia Pharmacy Tech License is required, with PTCB/NHA preferred, and prior hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician license required in the state of practice.
• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Certification/Licensure.
• Virginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required).
• CPhT License (Preferred).
• Previous Pharmacy Experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner.
• Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care.
• Triages and escalates questions or issues outside the technician's scope of practice.
• Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information.
• Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements.
• Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately.

Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
