Job summary

ChenMed in Deerfield Beach is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the practice of pharmacy in compliance with state and federal regulations. You will assist with entering patient data, processing prescriptions, and ensuring accurate medication interactions while supporting pharmacists and healthcare teams.

You will greet patients, maintain inventory, and help resolve questions to ensure a positive experience.

Qualifications

High School or equivalent; experience can substitute for education on a year for year basis above the minimum required.
Board of Pharmacy technician registration; maintain current licensure and certification for state.
Minimum one (1) year of experience in a pharmacy setting including data entry.

Responsibilities

Assist with the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations.
greet patients in person or by phone and refer inquiries to the Pharmacist when needed.
Maintain pharmacy inventory and place orders; verify receipt and dispose of outdated drugs.
Enter patient and drug information, verify accuracy, fill prescriptions, and check for interactions.
Ensure HIPAA, Medicare, and co-pay compliance; support quality improvement initiatives.
Engage patients to ensure a positive experience and handle cash register duties as required.
Direct and assist team members to meet deadlines and support the Pharmacy Manager.
Process third-party reimbursement claims accurately with insurers.
