Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy of Columbus, LLC is hiring a Pharmacy Technician in Columbus, OH to accurately enter prescriptions, assist with refills, and communicate with customers by phone. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and proficiency in pharmacy systems.

Eligible candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a pharmacy technician license, and ideally a national certification (PTCB).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration per state.
• National Certification (PTCB) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter new and refill prescriptions into the operating system accurately.
• Triaged incoming fax prescriptions to ensure timely dispensing.
• Ensure proper notes in computer and cycle fill coding.
• Calculate and verify correct dosage based on prescriptions.
• Respond to customer calls with care and courtesy.
• Route calls to maintain top-level service.
• Ensure prescriptions are completed within each shift.
• Coordinate with doctors' offices on refills as needed.
• Develop proficiency in all pharmacy systems used.
• Assist with filing, packaging, inventory, and record-keeping when needed.
