Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy services at our Gary, Indiana site. You will dispense prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, manage inventory, and handle clerical tasks in a compliant environment.

Position requires an Indiana Pharmacy Technician license, High School Diploma or GED, and reliable transportation. Competitive benefits and a day shift with regular hours are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Active and Unrestricted Pharmacy Technician License in Indiana is required.
• Access to reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist.
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department.
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Packages prescriptions.
• Other duties as assigned.
