Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy in Gilbert, AZ. You will dispense prescriptions under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist and perform clerical duties in a patient-centered team.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts from 8:00am–5:00pm, with a 1-hour lunch. The position offers comprehensive benefits such as PTO, medical, dental and vision coverage, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Arizona or an active Trainee Technician License or the ability to obtain within 60 days of employment
• Access to reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and clinic staff
• Fills prescription orders under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory
• Assist Pharmacist and keep the pharmacy compliant with federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties related to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned
