Mercy Hospital South is hiring a Pharmacy Technician (Tech I–III) to assist pharmacists in preparing, compounding and dispensing medications. The technician is accountable to the supervising pharmacist and must comply with all applicable laws and regulations to ensure patient safety.

Tech I requires a high school diploma and Missouri license eligibility; Tech II adds certification (CPhT) and more experience; Tech III requires 3 years of experience and CPhT certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Missouri Board of Pharmacy registration or willingness to register by first day, including fingerprints for FBI background check.
• Tech I: 1-year relevant pharmacy experience preferred but not required.
• Tech II: 1-year relevant pharmacy experience required; 2 years preferred; Certification: CPhT (PTCB).
• Tech III: 3-year relevant pharmacy experience required; Certification: CPhT (PTCB).

Responsabilités

• Assists pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications.
• Is accountable to the supervising pharmacist for care and safety of patients.
• Follows federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing pharmacy operations.

Formation

High School Diploma or equivalence exam

Active registration with Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or willingness to submit application by first day of work (including fingerprints for FBI background check)
