Job summary

The County of Riverside’s RUHS - MC Pharmacy Department is seeking two Pharmacy Technician II positions for the RUHS-Village Pharmacy, located in Perris (Mead Valley). Under the direction of the pharmacist staff, incumbents assist in preparation and distribution of medications and related duties. Experience in a community/retail pharmacy is preferred; bilingual skills are a plus.

The positions operate on a 4/10 schedule, with hours from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

One year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a healthcare or community pharmacy.
Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training course in accordance with the California State Board of Pharmacy licensing requirements.
Possession of a valid certificate of registration as a Pharmacy Technician issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

Process new prescriptions and/or medication orders.
Prefill prescriptions/medication orders.
File prescriptions/medication orders as needed.
Process billing.
Assist in control of the inventory.
Work with other members of the clinic to ensure a cooperative work environment.
Assist in the training and education of pharmacy technician students and pharmacist interns.
Provide input and guidance to management and staff as needed.
Work on other projects as assigned or as pertains to the pharmacy area.
