Job summary

County of Riverside’s RUHS-Medical Center seeks a Supervising Pharmacy Technician for the Correctional Health Services pharmacy in Moreno Valley, with travel to facilities. This role supervises technicians and trainees, coordinates scheduling, and supports resource allocation and policy development in a high-volume setting.

Candidates should have a California Pharmacy Technician registration, five years of experience (two in lead roles), and completion of an approved technician training course.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training course in accordance with the California State Board of Pharmacy licensing requirements.
• Five years as a pharmacy technician in a healthcare facility or community pharmacy, with two years in a lead/leadership role.
• Possession of a valid certificate of registration as a Pharmacy Technician issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day distributive pharmacy services and staff across the Medical Center.
• Oversee scheduling, training, coaching, and competency assessments for technicians and trainees.
• Assist in inventory control, procurement, and automation cabinet operations.
• Develop and implement policies, workflows, and duty assignments for pharmacy operations.
• Collaborate with departments to resolve issues and improve processes.
