Job summary

County of Riverside's RUHS Correctional Health in Moreno Valley is seeking a Supervising Pharmacy Technician to oversee day-to-day operations, supervise technicians and trainees, and support the Pharmacy Director.

The role requires several years in high-volume pharmacy settings, familiarity with correctional systems (CIPS, TechCare, PARATA), and scheduling across shifts; travel to facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training course per CA Board of Pharmacy requirements.
• Five years as a pharmacy technician in healthcare or community pharmacy with leadership experience.
• Valid California Pharmacy Technician registration certificate.

Responsibilities

• Supervise distributive pharmacy services and oversee medication processing under a pharmacist.
• Manage technician scheduling and staff assignments; supervise trainees and support staff.
• conduct staff development and assess competency.
• participate in policy development and workflow improvements.
• assist in inventory control and utilization reporting.
