Job summary

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to join the Pharmacy team in a full-time role. You will work under a licensed pharmacist, assisting in preparation, labeling, and dispensing medications with a focus on safety and accuracy.

The position emphasizes compounding, inventory management, and adherence to NYS regulations. A National Certification (CPhT) and NYS registration are required, with a HS diploma and relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required by PTCB or ExCPT
• Registered NYS Pharmacy Technician
• HS diploma or equivalent and 6 months of related experience
• Maintain NYS registration and CPhT certification as condition of employment
• Degrees must be from an accredited institution recognized by Roswell Park Center

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, packaging, labeling, and dispensing medications
• Support compounding of hazardous and non-hazardous pharmaceuticals per procedures
• Ensure medications are prepared accurately and safely
• Participate in medication distribution across the organization
• Maintain medication inventory including stocking and replenishing supplies
• Support quality assurance and compliance for patient safety
• Follow federal and New York State pharmacy regulations and policies
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation
• Identify and address inventory or workflow issues to support operations
• Provide guidance and oversight for Pharmacy Assistant duties
