What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Interpret and enter moderately complex prescriptions while verifying member information
- Educate members on pharmacy-related rules and medication assistance programs
- Process prior authorization requests from physician offices in compliance with Medicare and Medicaid
- Resolve grievances and appeals issues while responding to inquiries from patients and providers
- Maintain records of prior authorizations, rebates, and monthly reports
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Active professional license or certification as required by state law to practice as a Pharmacy Technician
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex inquiries
- Basic knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations

- Experience working with electronic health records
- Proficiency in computer use while multitasking
