Job summary

Grady Health System is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the dispensing and packaging of medications under direct pharmacist supervision. You will assist patients at the point of sale, process cash transactions, and maintain accurate refrigerator logs to ensure drug integrity.

You will help review orders, transcribe to patient profiles, and manage inventory with attention to PAR levels. The role requires professional communication and strong teamwork to maintain high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program preferred.
• 1 year experience as a Pharmacy Technician; 2+ years preferred.
• Must be registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist Intern licensed with the Georgia Board of Pharmacy.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, and distribute medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Assist patients at point-of-sale and handle cash and receipts.
• Maintain refrigerator logs and ensure medications are in date through monthly inspections.
• Maintain clean and organized prescription pharmacy area.
• Review physician orders and update patient drug profiles in the system.
• Inventory control and ordering based on PAR levels.
• Float to other pharmacies as needed by leadership.
