This position is based at Valleywise Health Medical Center, within the Pharmacy - Roosevelt department. It offers a regular full-time schedule of 40 hours per week with varied shifts.

Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor, the Pharmacy Technician II Medication Reconciliation is responsible for completing medication histories with a focus on accuracy and compliance, maintaining related records. The role involves serving as a department liaison, ensuring the timely delivery of pharmaceuticals and pharmacy-related products, and performing duties such as report completion, operating automated dispensing systems, data entry, and providing customer service.

Hourly Pay Rate: $19.73 - $29.10

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician program is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a pharmacy environment, including at least one (1) year in retail pharmacy.

Certification/Licensure:

• Must possess CPhT Certification issued by PTCB and be licensed by the AZ State Board of Pharmacy.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of mathematical calculations and medication terminology.
• Proficiency with pharmacy software systems.
• Training in automated dispensing, IV compounding, and sterile preparations.
• Understanding of hospital pharmacy drug distribution systems, including unit dose, IV additives, and floor stock.
• Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
