Job summary
University Hospitals in Ohio seeks a Pharmacy Technician 2 to support pharmacists in retrieving, preparing, and distributing medications for patient administration. This role covers inpatient, outpatient, medication history, and infusion tech functions under pharmacist supervision.
Responsibilities include compounding per USP standards, processing prescriptions, inventory management, and staff training. Requires Ohio CPhT license and strong math/communication skills; healthcare PHI protocols
Qualifications
- High School Equivalency/GED required.
- Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in retrieval, processing, preparation, and distribution of medications.
- Prepare and label non-sterile compounded formulations according to USP guidelines.
- Ensure timely delivery of patient-specific medications to nursing units, prioritizing STAT orders.
- Restock ADCs and pharmacy systems, monitor stock levels, and prevent stockouts.
- Assist with orientation/training of new staff and maintain PHI compliance.
