Cardinal Health, Inc. in Ohio is hiring a Pharmacy Technician II to support inpatient services during facility hours Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. This role assists the Pharmacist in daily operations, prepares and fills prescriptions, and handles inventory and returns.

The Technician II helps ensure orders are reviewed by a pharmacist and documented per regulatory and company guidelines, with frequent customer communication for timely order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Ohio State Pharmacy Technician license or ability to obtain license.
• National pharmacy technician certification (PTCB) required.
• IV compounding experience required.
• In-patient hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Pharmacy buying/purchasing experience preferred.
• Pyxis experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for shift duration.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist as needed, per State Boards regulations.
• Maintain a safe, clean pharmacy by following procedures and rules.
• Input patient data and prescription information into the pharmacy system.
• Take inventory, place orders, check in drugs, stock shelves and remove outdated items.
• Communicate with customers in a pleasant, professional manner.
• Adhere to pharmacy laws and company guidelines.
