Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• 2+ years experience as a pharmacy technician in a comparable setting OR 18 months experience at The University of Kansas Health System.

Responsibilities

• Prepares medications and supplies for dispensing following established procedures and safety protocols.
• Maintains pharmacy records and logs, including invoices and recalls.
• Orders and receives drugs and supplies, reviews patient schedules, and ensures inventory accuracy.
• Operates core pharmacy computer systems and troubleshoots basic issues.
• Participates in sterile compounding and hazardous/non-hazardous preparations as required.
• Ensures safety by adhering to controlled substances policies and reporting safety events.
