University of Kansas Medical Center is hiring a Pharmacy Technician II for Home Infusion Compounding. This full-time role involves order entry, sterile compounding, packaging, and shipping coordination for patient deliveries.

Responsibilities include preparing sterile medications, maintaining ADS inventory, processing drug orders, and ensuring accurate records while upholding safety standards. The ideal candidate has HS diploma, 2+ years as a technician, and applicable licensure/certification;

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years as a pharmacy technician in a similar setting or 18+ months at The University of Kansas Health System.
• Pharmacy Technician Registration with State Board; CPhT certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepares medications and supplies for dispensing, including sterile compounds per procedures and safety standards.
• Distributes medications and manages stock, ensuring accurate ADS inventory and proper barcode scanning.
• Places and receives drug orders, reviews patient schedules for inventory needs, and handles backorder management.
• Operates pharmacy computer systems and troubleshoots software issues with high accuracy.
• Maintains records/logs (invoices, recalls, inventory) and stay compliant with regulatory standards.
• Communicates with patients, caregivers, and staff to resolve service concerns and provide process information.
• Follows safety protocols to minimize medication errors and escalates issues as needed.
