Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support Home Health Specialty Pharmacy operations in Lincoln Building. You will enter prescriptions for pharmacist review, prepare cold chain shipments, and perform outpatient phone triage and refill scheduling.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 3+ years in a related field, and current PTCB and Ohio Board of Pharmacy certification; specialty pharmacy experience is preferred. Competitive starting pay and benefits apply.

Responsibilities

• Medication Orders - Enters prescriptions into pharmacy software for pharmacist review. Pulls and labels hazardous and nonhazardous medications for pharmacist verification. Demonstrates ability to complete basic pharmacy math calculations for specialty medications.
• Cold Chain Distribution – Prepares packages for delivery following specific cold chain distribution procedures.
• Phone Triage - Performs outpatient phone triage.
• Refills – Contacts patients to schedule refills and conduct disease assessments.
• Insurance - Performs insurance adjudication and troubleshooting.
• Inventory - Receives and enters inventory into pharmacy software.

Additional pay (e.g., shift, on‑call, or weekend differentials) and benefits may apply. Annual pay may vary based on FTE status.
