Job summary

Orlando Health's Scripts Pharmacy is hiring a Pharmacy Technician II for a 32-hour week, Monday through Friday, day shift. The role collaborates with pharmacists and healthcare teams to ensure safe medication preparation, distribution, and inventory management.

The position involves sterile compounding support, use of automated dispensing systems, and adherence to regulatory standards. A strong attention to detail and fast-paced healthcare experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Greater than one (1) year and up to four (4) years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Active Pharmacy Technician Registration required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution.
• Maintain medication inventory and support procurement processes.
• Perform pharmacy technician duties in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
• Support sterile compounding and aseptic techniques, including specialty medications.
• Operate pharmacy technology and automated dispensing systems.
• Maintain USP 797 standards and required regulatory documentation.
• Ensure safe handling and disposal of medications.
• Assist with special projects and departmental initiatives.
• Train and mentor new pharmacy technicians as needed.
• Maintain advanced expertise in specialized pharmacy practice areas.
• Support customer service and patient care through collaboration with healthcare teams.
