Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to assist pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution, and to maintain inventory in a fast-paced hospital setting.

This full-time role (32 hours per week, day shift, Monday–Friday) offers collaboration with experienced staff, access to advanced technology, ongoing professional development, and a structured environment focused on patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Greater than one (1) year and up to four (4) years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Active Pharmacy Technician Registration required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution.
• Maintain medication inventory and support procurement processes.
• Perform pharmacy technician duties in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
• Support sterile compounding and aseptic techniques, including specialty medications.
• Operate pharmacy technology and automated dispensing systems.
• Maintain USP 797 standards and required regulatory documentation.
• Ensure safe handling and disposal of medications.
• Assist with special projects and departmental initiatives.
• Train and mentor new pharmacy technicians as needed.
• Maintain advanced expertise in specialized pharmacy practice areas.
• Support customer service and patient care through collaboration with healthcare teams.
