Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's OptumCare pharmacy team in Spring, TX is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the Pharmacist with prescriptions, stock OTC items, and serve customers at the point of sale.

Required: high school diploma or certified technician program, TSBP registration, 2+ years retail pharmacy experience or completion of an accredited technician program, strong math and cash handling skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or completion of a certified technician training program.
• TSBP registration required.
• 2+ years retail pharmacy experience or completion of an accredited technician program.
• Experience with math cash handling and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Counts, pours, and packages medication for Pharmacist review.
• Enters prescription and patient information into the pharmacy system.
• Retrieves medication from stock and assists at the point of sale.
• Handles OTC stock, price changes, and clerical duties as needed.
• Supports customers and answers questions to ensure satisfaction.
